MEET OUR TEAM

Friendly Faces at the Office

Celsey

Dental Hygienist

Hello! I’m Celsey. I am a dental hygienist here at Karls Family Dentistry. I was born and raised in Waunakee and I’m proud to still call it home. I started working as a dental assistant during my first year of college, which is where my love for dentistry began. I graduated from Madison College in 2011, and have been working here ever since. I absolutely love getting to know my patients and helping them maintain their oral health. Outside of the office my world revolves around my family, which includes my husband Chris, our two beautiful children Sydney and Miles, and our sweet dog Nash. We stay busy running our dairy farm which has been in the family for five generations. I enjoy walking, baking, and cheering for the Packers and Badgers!

Marcia

Dental Hygienist

Hi, I'm Marcia. I've been a dental hygienist for 35 years. I'm married to my High school sweetheart. Working at Karls Family Dental has been a great experience. I work with some very smart, funny and talented people. I love the "family atmosphere" of our office. My childhood was spent on a dairy farm in central Wi. near Oxford. I moved to Madison to attend college and never left. Most of my time outside of work is spent working on our farmette and caring for my animals which include a donkey, dog, chickens and cats. My other hobbies are reading, hiking, gardening, and horseback riding. I have two grown children, a son and a daughter that both live in the area. I am also a new grandma!

Jodee

Dental Hygenist

Hey! I'm Jodee, I am a hygienist by day and girl mom by night! I have been in the dental field for 10 years. It all started out at a young age when I couldn't wait to get my teeth cleaned. I'll have you know I continued to see my pediatric dentist until I was 24, I loved it that much! I pride myself on providing dental care that leaves a lasting impact as well as creating relationships with my patients. When I'm not in scrubs, I'm taking care of my 11 month old Wynlee, 3 year old Willa, our dog Nyah, oh, and my husband! Outside of that; I enjoy cycling, lifting weights and attending badger games. I am excited to be a part of the Karls Family Dental team and can't wait to meet you!

Trisha

Dental Hygienist

I started working in the dental field when I was 16 years old as a dental assistant in Watertown, WI where I grew up. I fell in love with the atmosphere of building relationships with people and helping take care of their oral health.I then went on to hygiene school and graduated in 1996. I spent the first two decades of my career at a private practice where I worked with Dr. Sarah Karls. I had always hoped our paths would cross again and they did! I joined the Karls in 2023 and couldn’t be happier. The longer I work in dentistry the more I love and appreciate the technology and care we can provide for people-almost pain free!!! I am married, have two children and three rescue dogs. I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends. I am a typical extrovert and love being out and about!

I was born and raised in Madison and currently live in Sun Prairie with my husband, Kyle, and daughters Finley and Brenna. My focus lies in patient education, setting realistic goals and creating a comfortable environment for each and every one of my patients. I truly love what I do. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my daughters play club volleyball, and cheering on Badgers volleyball. The rest of the time you can usually find me lint rolling my clothes thanks to my 3 dogs, cat and gerbils. I’m honored to be a part of the Karls Family Dentistry team and look forward to meeting you!

Sandy

Dental Hygienist

Hi! My name is Sandy and I am a hygienist with dental experience on both sides of the chair. I grew up on a farm in western Iowa and have lived in Wisconsin for over a decade. I knew when I became a dental hygienist I wanted to work in a practice that gives you a small town feeling, I'm happy to say I found that. When I'm not cleaning teeth and giving personalized care to my patients I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy watching sports, seeing live music and going on any outdoor adventure, especially if the day ends with a beautiful sunset!

Teagan

Scheduling Coordinator

Hello, my name is Teagan. I am one of the scheduling coordinators here at Karls Family Dentistry. I have been working in the admin side of dentistry for about two years now. One of my friends pushed me to apply towards the admin role a few years ago and I am so grateful she did. I love the constant growth of dentistry. At Karls every team member treats you as family. I am truly grateful to be working with everyone here. I was born in Tucson Arizona, but have lived in Wisconsin for a decade now. Wisconsin is definitely home now, even though I do sometimes dream of the warmth. Outside of work you can find me, painting, crafting or spending time in the shop with my boyfriend.

Treating You Like Family

Karls Family Dentistry was established in 1970 by Dr. Stanley Karls. After owning and operating the practice for more than 40 years, he welcomed his son, Dr. Matthew Karls, to the family practice in 2010. In 2018, we were delighted to have Dr. Matt’s wife, Dr. Sarah Karls join Karls Family Dentistry. The pair continue to own and operate the family practice and look forward to many more years to come. Each doctor is dedicated to providing the best possible care tailored to their patients’ lives.

Our New Office

We are proud to welcome you to our dental home. Our practice is family-owned-and -operated, and we have been in our current for over 50 years. In order to give our patients and team the best possible dental experience, we completed a significant expansion and remodel of our building.

We were honored to have won awards including the Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin Projects of Distinction and the Orchid award for Waunakee. The Orchid award is presented to a Chamber of Commerce Member business that completed a substantial redevelopment façade building project within the last year, contributing to the promotion of commerce, economic development, and the overall beautification of the Waunakee/Westport area.

With renovations completed in 2021, we have a space that feels more like home, rather than a traditional dental office. Drs. Matt & Sarah had goals of improving handicap accessibility with larger hallways, a parking lot, and larger treatment rooms. Another goal was to utilize as much natural light as possible throughout the entire building, to have a sense of openness and not feeling like you are in a typical dental office. We are all so grateful to be in such a beautiful building that is truly like a second home to us, and as a result, we have elevated our already wonderful family-feel of our practice.
